Below are a list the ways and how they affect performance. Clutch weights: The weights in your clutch control your operating rpm. More weight = less rpm and less weight = more rpm. The key to the CVT clutch in your RZR is to dial in your operating rpm. The operating rpm is the rpm your engine is running at during full throttle. You want your RZR to hold that rpm for as long as possible typically from just after stab in to top speed. Being off just 400 rpm can be a 5 hp difference. Because of this we feel this is the single most important aspect of your clutch. EVERY RZR is a little different. If you have put bigger tires on or have added weight to your RZR your operating rpm has been lowered further lowering available power. To fix this less clutch weight is needed to raise your operating rpm. On the other side if you have added horsepower to your RZR your operating rpm will increase. Some times so much that your top speed will start to lower itself due to pre maturely hitting the rev limiter. To fix this more weight in needed. These weights have 3 positions to remove or add weight. The heel which refers to the bottom. The center and the tip. The weight placement helps adjust how your power hits. By placing weight closer to the heel your engine will respond quicker and hit harder. If you place weight on the tip it will hit softer and be less aggressive but more controllable. These will allow you to tune your car to your specific needs and will work for future mods with a re-adjust. We prefer to set most weight on the heel and center which gives maximum performance. These come with instructions and a base weight to get you very close. For reference a RZR 1000 makes peak power at 8300 rpm. If you are not running at that rpm your RZR is not using all of its available horsepower! Primary spring: The primary spring on your RZR controls the engagement rpm or stall. This is the amount of rpm's it takes for your RZR to engage the clutch from a stand still. We increase this about 500 rpm. We feel that this is the perfect amount for most riders and more becomes a nuisance. This gives you more hit from a stop and out of corners. Secondary: The stiffer secondary spring increases belt pinch helping to reduce belt slipping and increase belt life. We only use this on the rzr 1000. The RZR900 is set properly from the factory. Helix: The main difference you will notice when you change your helix is removing engine braking. When you let off the throttle on your RZR the stock helix adds engine braking which slows you down. We leave this an option and do not recommend this for most. Some people love it while others hate it. With out engine braking your foot is constantly moving from the gas to brake petal. Learning to use your stock helix with engine braking we feel is the best option. The quicker you let of the throttle the more engine braking will be applied. Let off the throttle softly and braking is less noticeable. Also blip or tap the throttle when you let off to lessen the effect as well. fittings for your application.  First select a location on the top side of the A Arm bushing housing and drill a hole.  Be sure to drill the hole in the center of the housing and that as the A Arm rotates it isn't in a location that it can impact the frame (see photo).  It may help to use a punch to mark the spot first as drilling on a rounded surface can be difficult and this will help the drill bit avoid slipping.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNext use the tap and slowly tap the hole.  It may be beneficial to use a penetrating oil such as WD-40 or equivalent.  Once the hole is tapped, clean the hole and bushings housing thoroughly with brake cleaner and an air hose.  Then simply screw in the new grease zerk fittings and tighten them down.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBushing Installation:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eTo install your new bushings, first follow the instructions above on how to install the grease zerk fitting.  Once the grease zerk fitting is installed in the A Arm, use a quality grease (see recommendations below) and coat the bushing as well as the inside of the A Arm bushing housing with a layer of grease.  Then use a rubber mallet to gently tap the bushings in each end.  Finally gently drive the pin through the center.  If a rubber mallet is not available you may use a vice with blocks of wood on each side to keep from damaging the bushing, then gently press the bushing in.  When installing back on the machine be sure to apply grease or anti-seize to the bolts allowing for easy removal in the future as well as to keep them from squeaking while in use.  \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eOnce the bushings are properly installed, proceeded to use a grease gun connected to the grease zerk fittings to pump grease into the bushing.  You should pump grease until you feel resistance and then stop, do not force grease in after you begin to feel resistance as this could damage the O-ring seals.  You should try to pump grease into the grease zerk fitting at each maintenance interval but after the initial installation they should not take much, if any This really depends on our tune level.  The great thing with our tunes is they are easily labeled, list boost numbers, and rough horsepower gains. They have been proven to make and hold power longer than the DynoJet tunes.  Not only this, but we test with clutching, exhaust, and other parts to ensure our tunes work well with all factors.  DynoJet actually requests a ton of boost in their tunes, and the dyno backed up our statement that more is not always better. You can see power climb quickly and make good number, but then fade very quickly.  This is due to too much boost request and the turbo not being able to hit that number, or handle it.  Our safer tunes will hold power longer, and be much easier on your motor \u0026amp; turbo.  When your RZR detunes or starts blowing too much hot air because boost is too high for the modifications or fuel, it can become slower than stock!  Since we have so much time on RZRs, we know the limits and can push the limiters further giving you higher speed limits, and many other things hidden in our maps. It is a Team Tied loaded with our performance helix and spring. This is the same great clutch that came on from the factory in the 2011-14 years. The primary clutch will come set up and ready to bolt on if you list your tire size and type. Also let us know if you have made any gearing changes (different tranny gears or portals). If you run tires and paddles please list both and we'll set it up the best way possible to run both. The primary clutch that comes with this kit is the same design as OEM but assembled in house with our HD primary buttons made from a higher grade material(impregnated with Teflon). The clutch also has our HD rollers that are hardened, without a bushing. This means they will last much longer than the OEM Polaris clutch parts.
